YOUR BIN CAN BE USED AGAINST YOU

Please be aware of the security risks associated with leaving your wheelie bins out on the pavement outside of designated collection times:

• A ladder: Criminals use bins to climb over boundary walls.
• A hiding place: Bins provide cover for ambushes.
• Attracts vagrants: Scavenging leads to loitering near your property.
• Scattered rubbish: You are left to clean up the mess.
• A signal: An uncollected bin signals you might not be home.

THE RULE: Only put your bin out on the morning of collection day. Bring it back in the SAME DAY—behind gates and out of sight.

Do not feed or support vagrants. This causes loitering and could encourage them to break into your house.
